A Concession Gap Fee of $30 will apply for those under the age of 16 and those with a concession or pension card for the following appointments:

Telehealth appointments are available. If you have seen Dr Danielle Sammut at Southern Women's Health in the last 12 months for a face-to-face consultation, with a gap fee depending on time, as above.

If you have not seen Dr Danielle Sammut at Southern Women's Health in the last 12 months, ONLY sexual and reproductive health consultations** are eligible for a Medicare Rebate. For all other first-visit telehealth consultations (i.e. mental health and general consultations), there will be a  private fee with no rebate, as Medicare does not cover these consultations. The private fee will be the equivalent of the Medicare consultation amount plus the gap fee. This will continue until you are able to come into the centre for a face-to-face consultation. Please note that this is a Medicare rule placed on all general practitioners, and we cannot alter this. The following link provides more details.

FEE SCHEDULE

Southern Women's Health

The total fee is the amount Medicare pays for a consult plus the gap fee ($45 for consultations <10 minutes, $50 for 10-19 minutes,  $55 for those 20-29 minutes, $60 for 30-39mins, $65 for 40-49 minutes and $75 for consultations 50 minutes or longer). At the reception, you will be charged the total amount. However, the rebate can be processed on the spot so that the rebate (fee minus the gap) is returned to your debit card.

If you do not have a debit card with you on the day, that is okay, too. We can submit the claim electronically for you. Alternatively, we can print you a receipt, which you can claim online yourself with Medicare. For information on how to make your own claim click here.

** Please be aware that an alternative item might be applicable to your consultation, depending on your presentation. Therefore, the initial total fee might vary. However, your out-of-pocket gap will always be approximately $45 or $75, depending on the duration of the visit, unless otherwise discussed with you prior to your consultation.

Payments for telehealth appointments can be made over the phone or through our Hotdoc secure payment system. You will receive an SMS with the payment details following your telehealth appointment. Please note that there is a processing fee for all Hotdoc payments.
